An initiative of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA), the World Summit provides a platform for national arts councils, ministries of culture and other agencies active in the global arts and culture sector to discuss and exchange experiences and ideas about issues affecting public support for the arts and creativity.

The UNESCO World Conference on Arts Education is a culmination of international collaboration between UNESCO and its partners in the field of arts education. Two editions have taken place so far, in Lisbon 2006 and Seoul 2010.
